Itseems as though it is Tuesday, and I am finally feeling refreshed, and back on my energy wagon after the whirl wind of an opening. The opening was a huge success, and I couldn't have been more touched to see all the love and support of my photography in one room. Thank you soooo much to everyone that attended! Many friends, family, and local photography friends and supporters of mine were there, it was a very fun evening. Before I had the opening, I did a photo shoot in the open space in the building that my studio is in, and here are some pictures of the shoot. The building that my studio is housed in is on the south side of Chicago in the Pilsen neighborhood. The building was used as a macaroni warehouse in the 1900's. It is five floors of beautiful open raw timber loft space. The building has three different wings, because the macaroni factory in the 1900's was booming. Apparently Macaroni was all the rage back then. Now the building is owned by the Cacchatori family, and is being slowly but surely renovated into artist lofts. It is an incredible building, and I believe my photography will benefit from being in such an interesting area.
