While the weather is getting significantly colder, my home is getting warmer. From my oven that is. I have completely embraced fall, and have started turning my condo into a autumn haunted spooktacular home. I am an autumn baby, so I naturally go all out for Halloween and Thanksgiving. My birthday is at the end of the month, and it ALWAYS has a Halloween twist to it. Recently it was a close friend of mines birthday so I took it upon myself to bake up some cupcakes. Ironcially enough, I didn't mess these up, considering I don't bake. It is a running joke amongst my friends that I can cook you a 7 course gourmet meal, but if you hand me a box of cake mix I screw up. With that being said, history has been made, and my red velvet spider web cupcakes came out of the oven unharmed. Not only were they baked properly, they were the main attraction to the birthday. I only say that because I made them, and they were the only cupcakes at the bar. But all is fair. The birthday was enjoyed, and I feel properly prepared to bake dozens more cupcakes for my birthday. Halloween here I come. Happy Bday Danny...a ripe young age of 35!!
